Day 1: October 23 – Depart USA to Tel Aviv

Your pilgrimage begins as you depart the USA on an overnight flight to Tel Aviv. Meals served in flight.

Days 2: October 24 – Arrive in Tel Aviv

Welcome to Israel! Arrive at Ben Gurion International Airport and be transferred to your hotel for check-in, dinner, and a good night’s sleep.

Day 3: October 25 – Jesus in the Galilee

Drive along the shores of the Sea of Galilee and explore the 2,000-year-old remains of Capernaum and stand in the ancient synagogue built where our Lord ministered.

Visit the peaceful Mount of Beatitudes that overlooks the Sea of Galilee. On these hills, Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount. Stop at Tabgha, where the feeding of the 5,000 is remembered at the Church of the Loaves and Fish.

Enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee and appreciate the special place this lake had in Jesus’ ministry. Enjoy Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Days 4: October 26 – From Sea to Sea

After a delicious buffet breakfast, visit Nazareth, Jesus’ boyhood home, and the Mount of Precipice, where Jesus was rejected by those in the synagogue.

Follow an ancient caravan route through the Jezreel Valley to Tel Megiddo, an exciting archaeological site with layers of 20 different cities, all built on top of each other.

End the day with a stop at the Jordan River for a time of spiritual blessing where you can remember or renew your baptism. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: October 27 – Southern Wilderness

We travel south through the Jordan Valley and stop at Gilgal, mentioned 39 times in the Bible, the first place the people brought out of Egypt camped upon entering the Promised Land, and the place where they had the first Passover in the Land.

Then we will visit Masada, the spectacular mountaintop fortress built by Herod that later became the final tragic stronghold of the Jewish rebellion against the Romans. Ride the cable car to the top to explore the fortress and look down upon the remains of the Roman camps and siege ramp below.

On our return to Jerusalem, stop at the shores of the Dead Sea, the lowest spot on earth, for an opportunity to take a quick dip in the mineralladen waters. Check in at your hotel in Jerusalem and enjoy dinner and overnight.

Day 6: October 28 – Bethlehem

Cross the border into Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus. Visit the Church of the Nativity, the world’s oldest continuously operating church. See the cave where tradition holds Jesus was born, and look out on the Shepherd’s Field, where angels spread the Good News. Return to your hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: October 29 – Jerusalem

Stand on the Mount of Olives as Jesus did and enjoy a remarkable view of the “Golden City” of Jerusalem. View the Chapel of the Ascension, commemorating how Jesus ascended into heaven from the Mount of Olives forty days after His resurrection.

Enter the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus went to pray after the Last Supper and was arrested. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: October 30 – Jerusalem

Enter the Old City via the Lion’s Gate and view the Pool of Bethesda, where Jesus performed the Sabbath miracle. Walk the Via Dolorosa (“the Way of the Cross”) to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre (John 19), built over the site believed by some segments of Christianity to be the site of the crucifixion and burial of Jesus. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: October 31 – Jewish Jerusalem

Stand in the Upper Room, revered as the place of the Last Supper. From here, you can walk across the street and visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, and visit some of the ancient rooms of the house which belonged to Caiaphas, the High Priest.

Many believe that Jesus was held overnight here before His crucifixion. Pray alongside the Jewish faithful at the Western Wall. Explore the Southern Wall Excavations, including the Hulda Steps and the many mikvahs at the foot of the steps. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: November 1 – Jerusalem

A very full day of sightseeing is planned today. We begin on the southeastern side of the city of Jerusalem - the City of David. Hezekiah’s Tunnel is in this area and was the building project of King Hezekiah to provide water to the city of Jerusalem in the event of a siege. Stand on the steps of the Pool of Siloam, where Jesus healed the blind man. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: November 2 – Old City

Walk the Jewish Quarter and take time to visit the Cardo, a 2,000-year-old market with shops old and new. Gain a better understanding of Jerusalem at the time of Christ with a look at the first-century model of the City of Jerusalem, now housed at the Israel Museum.

Also visit the Shrine of the Book exhibit, which displays the Dead Sea Scrolls book of Isaiah. Continue to the Garden Tomb and Gordon’s Calvary, where you can celebrate the empty grave and our risen Savior! Enjoy a final dinner together, then head to the airport for the return journey.

Day 12: November 3 – Return Home

Return home with a transformed faith and memories to last a lifetime!
